Burnout

We work, work, and work.
Oh, did I say that we work?
We work hard to make it
work. We don’t have the time
to sit. And, I must admit,
We would die before We quit.
We are like those before;
We work, work, and work.
Don’t get me wrong, I work,
but I wonder what it’s worth.
We work so long to build
planes that are never flown.
We work away time killed.
We work hard to go home
with a tank only half-filled.
We work until We burn out
until all the gas runs out.
We work most of our lives
just to keep our dreams alive.
We must never burn out;
We have to take our time.
We work, work, and work:
something We are urged to do.
We have to press the brake
and appreciate the view.
