The Long Way Home

Take the long way home.
Look around as you roam.
Don’t be afraid to believe
that love will set us all free.
Take the time to view places
you once knew. Watch as
grey skies turn blue. Listen
to sounds you once heard.
It takes too long for letters
to become words. Sit. Wait
as time drives us to our fate.
Take the long way home
and take time for yourself.
The long way always helps.

On the Way

I am on the way. There’s not much
to say. You will see me again, soon.
Nothing will stop me from getting
to you. There’s no way of forgetting
the days that came before. Time
will go on when my mind is gone.
My spirit will never leave yours.
I will stay with you for the encore.
I am on the way. I will be there
soon. One day, we will meet
on the moon. We got two tickets,
two seats, and two reasons to live.
Whatever you want, I will give.
I am on the way. With you, I’ll stay.

Find Something

Find something to do –
to keep you busy –
to keep you sane.
Find anything to do –
just don’t do nothing.
Nothing can keep you
from doing something.
Anything is better than
nothing. Don’t stay
still – fill your time
finding something
to do: be quick, but
don’t hurry
. Don’t
worry. You will find
your way: yourself.
You will find some –
thing that keeps you
going – living. You
will find something
that will become
nothing. You must
create resistance,
listen, and lessen
the distance between
Hell and Heaven.

We Will See

One day, we will see.
We will see everything
we have done unfold
in front of our eyes.
We will see life and
death walk side-by-side
our entire lives. We
will see seeds become
trees, boys become men,
men become husbands,
husbands become fathers,
fathers become grand-
fathers, nothing become
something. We will see
something become no-
thing. One day, we will
see that we should be
happy the way life is.
One day, we will see
that our life wasn’t free.
I believe we will see
everything that we need.

The Willing

Are you willing to fight
and risk your own life?
Is your will strong enough
when times become tough?
Are you willing to love
those who’ve hurt you?
Are you willing to risk
losing your ego to find
the meaning of your life?
Are you willing to fail
when hate might prevail?
Okay, now ask yourself:
Am I willing? Am I
worthy?
Before you think,
know you are. Don’t worry.
