Everything has a purpose.
One size doesn’t fit all.
Some meals require spoons.
You can’t eat soup with a fork.
You don’t need to be the sharpest
tool in the shed. You can build
houses with hammers and nails.
Not all animals need tails.
You can’t always be a swiss army
knife. Don’t put that pressure on
yourself. That’s not life. No one
knows it all. Those who stand too
tall are bound to fall. There are
forks and spoons. There are uses
for both. We all see the world
through different eyes. Things
in our brains influence the way
we see situations. Everyone is unique.
Our questions may be similar,
yet the answers we seek vary.
There are different players
in the same game. At the core,
we are humans with a heart and soul.
What works for one might not
work for the other. Sisters or
brothers – fathers or mothers
all have a role working for
the same goal. Some use cups
while others use bowls. Although
we sit in different chairs,
we eat dinner at the same table.
One thing we have in common is
that we are different. When life unravels,
we choose what path to travel.
You may be a fork or a spoon.
However, the night needs a moon,
and the day needs a sun.
Just know that the journey will end
whether we have legs to run,
cars to drive, or wings to fly.
All I know is that we are alive.
