One thing I enjoy about listening to music is the lyrics. Just like writing a poem, artists and songwriters must consider things like syllables, meter, rhyming, pacing, and diction. There is a clear parallel between poetry and song writing/music. I often listen to interviews of artists who wrote Poetry prior to their music careers. That being said, I’ve been experimenting with different programs that take my poetry and converts then into songs. It is great because I get to go through my body of work and try to find the right genre of music that would best fit the tone and meaning of the chosen poem. Here are a few examples of poems that turned into beautiful songs! Enjoy and follow my YouTube for more!
