Hey. You! Yeah! You.
Move. Take a step.
Take a chance. Move.
Buy a new pair
of dancing shoes.
Find a different
groove. Don’t be
afraid to lose.
When you play,
pay your dues.
Move. It’s much
better when you
get to choose.
Keep on dancing
for your love is
everlasting. Move.
There is nothing
for you to prove.

Slow and Steady
Let’s rock slow and steady.
Easy does it. Nice and slow.
There’s no rush when there
is nowhere to go. Slowly
moving into the unknown.
No need to speed. Let it be.
Slow and steady; I’m always
ready. Life can be heavy,
and when it rains, it pours.
I keep going steady. I move
with the current. Slowly,
I work my way towards
a new day. I keep going,
slow and steady – I think
to myself. I wonder if all
will be well. Who knows?
Really, only time will tell.
The Discovery
For many years, people have been
searching for treasure somewhere
under the sea. Many have tried
to dive to the bottom and died
with gold shining in both eyes.
The treasure has made men mad
and has turned good men bad.
The treasure remains untouched.
No man or woman has found
this underwater town housing
treasure causing false pleasure.
Not until many years later,
when there was a sailor
who traveled as he pleased
and watched over the seas.
Now and again, he casted a pole
in hopes to catch enough food
to eat. One day, he casted a pole,
and he felt a tug. He pulled up
the line, and he knew he found
the lost treasure he only heard
about. Without making a sound,
the sailor traveled into the mist
with the treasure he just found.
The discovery was never known
as the sailor never made it home.
Beneath the Sea
Sailors, fish, and ships
dance and sing beneath
the sea. All that sunk
now resides beside
a rushing tide. Far
beneath the sea.
Sailors, fish, and ships
have ended their trips.
Many have been put
to rest after completing
their quest. Life roams
free beneath the sea.
We cannot see beyond
the reef. Sailors, fish,
and ships are at ease
beneath the sea.
Unwritten
Every minute feels faster and faster
As the days often disappear
During times of disaster,
Year after year.
Nothing can stop this train
No matter the resistance
And nobody forsees this pain
Or what creates this distance.
My story may change
due to time and its power
But my story, I must tame
and write this hour.
The story remains unwritten,
But words still spring on the page
As writer’s block subsides,
I set my stage.
