Life allows me to see
all things that can be.
If we know we have life,
we must not think twice.
This sacred life will expire,
but that date is unknown.
I choose to feed the fire
that I have created alone.
We are just mere mortals –
humans wandering on earth.
In life, there aren’t portals
that aid us in our search.
Death will come, but it will
have to wait. At this rate,
I hope it shows up late.
I’m just a mere mortal
waiting to meet my fate.
