New Beginnings

You take my breath away. Your grace is just a taste
of the falling fruit from your family tree. Please,
do not change – there is no need to tinker. Soon,
you will be released from the cage of your thoughts.
You are resilient. You are astonishing. The happiness
you bring make birds sing. The times you wept and the
tears that fell tell a story of healing and glory. Do not
fight your feelings, as we are human beings. The pain
coursing through you may not be new. Be proud of what
you do. Your aura shines bright and brings light to
those losing sight. I knew that from the beginning.
Each step you take – the choices you make create
an impact unknown to man. You are the sand
slipping through my hand. I am satisfied you find time
to be kind. You are a divine sign that guides me
to the promise land. Make yourself at home
because you laid the foundation without hesitation.
Not to mention, you provide support to those who
cannot afford to pay their dues. You have everything
to gain and nothing to lose. You run marathons
in other people’s shoes. Life is a paradigm that leaves
us bewildered. You are the moon and the sun. Our life
has just begun. Undoubtably, you are the reason
I breathe. Some are left with insatiable desires.
They cannot seem to control their fires. You accept
life for what it is and gently fan the flame.
Do not regret betting on yourself. Take risks
and leave nothing on the table. Stay true to
a sky so blue. Your presence is a present
to those you meet. You are a gift that brings
a smile to my face. Your love will never go
to waste. No one can take your place.
