Moonlight

I’ve never seen the moon

shine as bright as your smile;

your blinding beauty can’t

scare me. Any given night,

I can stare into your eyes

and get lost in a galaxy

that sets me free. I am

starstruck when I see

the moonlight radiate

off a beautiful face that

takes me away. I believe

in infinity; you must hold

the key that unlocks all

of eternity. Our love

is divine when we live

in this moment. There is

no telling where the time

went. We float freely.

When night falls,

and the sun rises, I know

that the best dreams are

based in reality. I don’t

get upset when the sun

comes up, because I think

about the galaxy, shooting

stars, and infinity. The sun

will set in no time, and we

will be together tonight –

two lovers in the moonlight.
