look both ways

Before crossing the street,

look both ways. Cut through

the haze. Get on your feet.

Step off the curb. Follow

the signs. Watch for cars.

Cars are like problems;

they drive us crazy. Out

of nowhere, they appear.

We can’t see them, but we

know they are here. Look

both ways and choose

a direction to go. Explore

the street before crossing it.

Go where you haven’t before.

Look both ways then choose

a way to go. Don’t look back.

Move along. You’re not wrong.

Before you choose, think about

what you’ll gain and lose.
